1Stop was founded in 2023 by a team of driving industry professionals frustrated with the commission-based model that dominates the Australian market. They had seen first-hand how platforms that take 15–25% of every lesson fee squeeze instructors' incomes while offering learners little real transparency about pricing or instructor quality.

Our founding team includes experienced driving industry professionals who saw the need for a fairer marketplace — one where instructors could list their profiles, set their own prices, and keep 100% of their lesson fees. We started with a small group of instructors across greater Sydney and built the platform around their feedback.

Today, 1Stop is a small, focused team based in Australia. We're not backed by venture capital or chasing billion-dollar valuations. We're building a business that treats instructors like professionals and gives learners an honest, transparent way to find the right teacher. Our pay-per-lead model — $25 per qualified lead, zero commission — means instructors only pay when they receive a genuine enquiry.

Every instructor on 1Stop goes through a multi-step verification process before their profile goes live. We check their driving instructor licence against the relevant state transport authority, confirm current comprehensive vehicle insurance, and require a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC).

Verification doesn't stop at sign-up. We re-verify instructor credentials annually and remove any profiles that fall out of compliance. Learners can report concerns directly through the platform, and our team investigates every report within 24 hours.
